A major milestone was the completion of an eight-year, £7.4 million consolidation project in 2014, which stabilised the ruined structure and opened it to the public as a preserved shell.

Today, the Trust continues to uphold its commitment to heritage conservation through the restoration of key historic features within the Designed Landscape, including Knight’s Law Tower, the Ramsay Monument, and the Hurley Tunnel and Ponds. These projects not only protect significant architectural and cultural assets but also aim to enhance public engagement, biodiversity, and education across the estate.
