Visiting Penicuik Estate
Old Penicuik House is open from April to October. If you are planning a special visit, please call 01968 586925 to confirm opening times. During adverse weather the house may close for health and safety reasons.
We have a small 35 space car park, available for visitor use on a daily basis.
With prior arrangement the main gates can be opened to enable vehicles to drop-off and pick-up visitors in front of Old Penicuik House.
Please be mindful this is a working estate with livestock and wildlife, so dogs should be kept on a lead at all times.
Any photography or video for commercial use must be approved by Penicuik Estate.
The use of drones and other flying machinery is not permitted unless permission is granted.
Staying at Penicuik Estate
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Full balance is due 4 weeks prior to arrival or upon booking if the arrival date is less than 4 weeks away. Read full terms.
Check in at 3pm. Check out is 11am. Unless agreed by prior arrangement.
We will require card details to be held on our system for the security deposit. The amount varies between £250 – £1500 depending on the property reserved. We will only charge your card in the event of damage to the property or its contents after we have informed you.
We can arrange these in advance. Please let us know when you are making your reservation.
We welcome up to two well-behaved dogs in all of our rental properties.
We ask that they stay off all furniture and please pick up after your dog before you leave. Unfortunately, if they cause damage, we will need to recoup the cost.
All our properties have charging points. For safety reasons, charging an electrical vehicle using any of the internal or external 13A sockets at the property is strictly forbidden.
All accommodation has complimentary super-fast Wi-Fi so you can stream your favourite shows or work remotely – although we hope you switch off from work, relax and enjoy the nature and beauty on your doorstep!
